Our Story

Located in the rolling hills of Holmes County, Ohio, home to the largest Amish community in the world, Alpine Cabinets embodies this culture of outstanding craftsmanship. Handcrafted cabinetry built with the expertise that Amish craftsman are known for has firmly established Alpine Cabinets’ reputation throughout the United States. From fine custom cabinetry for new homes to meticulously crafted cabinets reflecting a particular era for historic renovations, Alpine Cabinets delivers on our promise of quality, service, and sustainable practices.

Alpine Cabinets was founded by Eli Wengerd in 1987. Throughout the years, his shop has grown from a one-man operation into a large custom cabinet manufacturing facility. Eli’s original vision of fine craftsmanship, honest and efficient service and a commitment to sustainable practice has only grown over the years, cementing the reputation of Alpine Cabinets. In January of 2017, Eli formed a partnership with his son-in-law, Jacob Shetler, to set the stage for passing the family business to the next generation.
